All in one taxi insurance designed for Uber drivers. Policies are linked to your Uber account and designed to offer discounts for Uber drivers, with additional options for Zego Sense.

Once you've downloaded the Sense app and activated your policy, we’ll give you 10% off to get you started. Then drive safely to get up to 27% off the price before a Sense discount is applied at renewal.

Our private insurance covers you for work and personal driving. That’s Hire and Reward (H&R) plus Social, Domestic and Pleasure (SD&P) cover in one simple insurance policy.
Our 30 day policies provides short-term insurance cover, which you can buy with a single payment.
Our annual policies provide long-term, cost-effective cover which you can buy with a single payment or monthly instalments (deposit required upfront).
Fully comprehensive or third party only cover
Fully comprehensive or third party only cover
Fully comprehensive is the top level of cover. If you’re involved in an accident, it protects you and your vehicle, plus other people and their property. You’ll also be covered for legal fees and compensation payouts if you’re found to be at fault.
Third Party Only covers other people and their property, but it doesn’t cover you. So you’re protected if someone gets injured and tries to sue you, but you won’t be covered if you get hurt or your car gets damaged.
Van Insurance
Van insurance for couriers, tradespeople and businesses. We offer three types of van insurance:
All-in-one commercial van cover for tradespeople and businesses. Annual Zego Sense based policies with fully comprehensive cover, with options for additional drivers.
Van courier insurance provides cover for drivers who use a van to deliver parcels, packages and other third party goods.
Annual policies with options for fully comprehensive and third party only cover.
Van insurance for personal trips, weekend escapes and everyday driving. Annual Zego Sense based policies with fully comprehensive cover.

Our scooter and motorbike insurance covers you for deliveries and personal driving, all in one simple policy. We offer two types of cover:
Insurance for personal trips and delivery work (social, domestic and pleasure, plus hire and reward). Great for full-time or seasonal delivery riders, with annual or 30 day policies offering options for fully comprehensive, third party, fire and theft and third party only cover.
Pay-as-you-go delivery insurance for part-time food or parcel delivery workers looking for a more flexible type of cover. Third party only cover and requires separate social, domestic and pleasure insurance.

Frequently asked questions
What are my payment options?
If you purchase a 30 day policy you'll need to make payments using a debit or credit card. Your payment card can be saved for all further payments.
If you purchase an annual policy you can pay in the following ways:
a single payment, using a credit or debit card.
in monthly instalments, subject to a credit check. To pay monthly, you'll first need to pay an upfront payment using a credit or debit card, then make 11 further payments via Direct Debit, from you bank account.
If you purchase pay-as-you-go cover, you'll need to use a credit or debit card to top up your balance. Your payment card will be saved, and will be used automatically for future payments when your balance drops below £10.
With Zego Taxi Insurance, do I need to have a Zego Sense policy?
If you are an Uber driver, you can choose a Zego Sense policy when you are running through a quote. If you choose not to have a Zego Sense policy, you'll need to link your cover with your Uber account in the first 7 days of your policy. You can find instructions to do this here.
If you are not an Uber driver, we can only offer you a Zego Sense policy.
Why have you declined to give me a quote?
We carefully assess a range of factors when providing quotes to ensure our insurance is the right fit. If we’ve been unable to offer you cover, it means that, based on the information provided, your circumstances don’t currently meet our eligibility criteria.
This could be due to factors such as:
Your driving history, including claims or convictions
The type of vehicle you’re looking to insure
Your age or the number of years you’ve held your driving licence
The vehicle being owned or registered to someone besides you
Unfortunately, we’re unable to override these criteria, so a member of our team won’t be able to offer you a policy at this time. However, if your circumstances change in the future, we’d be happy to reassess - simply visit our website and try getting a quote again.

Why is my quote more expensive than expected?
Insurance prices are based on a range of factors that help us assess risk. If your quote is higher than expected, it may be due to:
Your driving history: If you’ve had previous claims, motoring convictions, or penalty points, your risk level increases, which can lead to a higher premium.
Your vehicle: The make, model, engine size, or modifications can impact the cost of repairs or replacement, affecting your price.
Where you live and park your car: Some areas have higher risks of accidents, theft, or vandalism, which can increase premiums.
Your annual mileage: The more you drive, the greater the risk of an accident, which can raise your insurance costs.
Your no claims discount (NCD): If you have little or no NCD, or if you’ve recently made a claim, you may not receive as much of a discount.
Changes in the insurance market: External factors like inflation, rising repair costs, or an increase in claims across the industry can affect prices for all drivers.
To help reduce your premium, you could consider adjusting your cover options, or checking if all details provided are accurate. However, it’s important to make sure your policy still meets your needs.
Can I insure my fleet of vehicles with Zego?
No. Zego no longer provides coverage for fleets of vehicles.
