A Sense policy is our app-based insurance for good drivers. Unlike standard policies, Zego Sense is priced on how you drive.
Sense policies use the Zego Sense app, which acts like a telematics blackbox, but there's nothing to install in your vehicle!
The Sense app provides you with a driver score by measuring how you drive over time. The higher your score, the more you can save at renewal.
After purchasing a Sense policy, you'll need to download the Zego Sense app and turn on permissions on your phone. Don't worry, we'll guide you through the set up, but if you need extra help, you can follow this guide for extra help and support.
The Zego Sense app contains lots of features to help you manage your policy yourself, but to name a few, you can:
Monitor your driver score
Download your policy documents
Renew your policy
Change your vehicle, address, phone number and email
Register a new claim

Installation
If you don't install the app and enable the required permissions when your policy starts, and keep them enabled for the duration of your policy, we will send you warnings and provide reasonable notice to do so. If you ignore our warnings we will cancel your policy.
Poor driving
If we identify poor driving behaviours and/or you do not meet the minimum driver score required for your policy, we will send you warnings with a reasonable time frame to improve your score. If you ignore our warnings we will cancel your policy.
Important things to remember
Keep the app active: You must keep the Sense app installed with permissions enabled at all times (even if you are a passenger in another vehicle).
Maintain a safe score: Drive responsibly to prevent your score from dropping too low. If your driver score drops below the minimum score required for your policy and does not improve despite our warnings, your policy will be cancelled.
