Here are some helpful hints and tips for keeping your renewal quote as low as possible.

Focus on improving your driver score

If you have a Zego Sense policy, make sure that your Sense permissions are enabled and try to increase your driver score as much as possible before your renewal window (21 days before your policy ends for an annual policy, or 7 days before with a 30 day policy).

The higher your driver score, the more you will save on your next renewal. Here are some useful guides that will help:

Link your account with Uber

If you have an Uber or an Uber Eats account, make sure that your Zego policy is linked to it. Once it's linked, you'll be able to take advantage of the Uber Pro or Uber Eats Pro rewards.

To link your account, follow this guide. If you don't have access to the linking email or SMS, get in touch with us and we'll resend them to you.

Consider the risk

Think about how you can reduce the risk of making a claim. For example:

  • can you install a front facing dash-cam?

  • can you keep your vehicle parked on a private driveway?

  • is your annual mileage still accurate?

Making these simple adjustments might help to reduce your renewal price. If you need to make any of these adjustments, just get in touch with us.

Please note, we can only add a front facing dash-cam to your policy if you agree to share the footage with us in the event of a claim.

Consider your options at renewal

To keep your price low, you may want to consider the options available to you when you renew your cover. For example:

  • Instead of paying monthly, paying in a single payment would remove any additional interest added to the monthly instalments.

  • Are there any optional extras that you no longer need, like breakdown cover or vehicle replacement cover?

You can easily adjust these options yourself on your renewal quote, once you receive it.
